White Fragility

Understanding racism from the white perspective.

Racism in some form or another is unavoidable. It’s a function of how we were brought up — it’s embedded in the culture. Of course, we consciously recognize that racism is bad, and we might reject that it exists in ourselves, but it is in each of us at some level and is something we have to struggle against.

In her book, “White Fragility”, author and lecturer Robin DiAngelo, who is white, explores the issues of racism from the perspective of white people. Podcasters Bill Wood and Peter Goldsmith discuss the ideas presented by Dr. Di Angelo, and talk about ways we can get to a greater acceptance of people who are different from us, and arrive at a better version of ourselves.
