Reducing Stress: Daoist Meditation

First , some of the facts:

  • There are countless types and styles of meditation. Most of these “systems” come from the East, meaning China and India, although there are numerous others, some even native to North America. Many are well known, others not so much. In the 60’s we all heard about Transcendental Meditation, presented by a Swami whose students included the Beatles.
  • Other teachers have taught various methods, including ‘single point’, ‘hollow mind’, certain Yoga asanas,  and Daoist Circle walking, just to name a few.

What these practices offer the student is the chance to build  up from the inside out, as opposed to the gym which works in the reverse.
