I can imagine your first inclination is to shake your head and decry the perceived laziness of a younger generation that won’t communicate with quills, ink wells and wax sealed envelopes! But typewriters replaced pencil and paper. Word processors replaced typewriters. And powerful computers replaced word processors. And that says nothing about the power of the Internet and Google!
Communication marches on, using whatever media is most expedient to translate a thought. Right now the emoji is adding flavor, savor or ardor to the world of digital speak when you want to reach out and touch someone.
