Buying My Very Last Car

OK. Now the fun begins.

All of the buying is done on-line with no human interaction. First you put down $1,000 deposit which gives you the right to buy the car.  It is a deposit only and can be refunded if you change your mind. In the interim until you get a call from the great Tesla wizard, you are free to look at the options and models and configurations. After several months, you are notified by email that you can now actually order a car. For this you must pay $2500 and decide on any and all options. Once that is done, you wait another few months until your car is ready.

Do they actually email you the car?  They would if they could. But no, they ship it to your closest dealership and there you go to speak with the robots about driving it home. (Only kidding about the closest dealership.)

Once you get the final call, you come up with the remaining balance on the car, have them put the plates on, call your insurance person, slip into the car, look at the only thing in the car, which is a large computer screen which does everything you need, and realize “What have I done? I have no idea what I’m supposed to do next.”
