There are four driving tours laid out on the following pages, and all together you will have covered the most important destinations and get a very good feel for the region. There are two home bases — Cosenza and Tropea — so you can cover the north and south without feeling like you’re driving all over creation. Some of the destinations for each itinerary are more drive-thru’s while others require a little time.
As for all of our travel guides, load up each of the destinations in your GPS and scout out restaurants for each town (trip advisor and yelp are great resources) before you arrive in country, and print out this itinerary so you have a hard copy to take with you. Again, while you might not fall in love with every destination, there’s likely to be a few that will make the trip worthwhile.
