What we can do to make their lives a little more bearable.
I am an adjunct professor at a community college.
Last week I attended the semi-annual student play. As with most things of that nature, I was apprehensive and confided to myself that I would leave at intermission, having judged the performance before it even began. I was seated near a group of my students and after our “hellos”, I got down to reading the playbill, so I could encounter no more “hi, how are you”…
Then I realized that the play had no intermission and it was about 90 minutes long.
Fear and dread!
Ninety five minutes later I left after a short standing ovation, with a tear in my eye and a good deal of information that was stunning, to say the least.
