The ancient Zen question.
Of course, as with many questions there are often more than one answer. All of these multiple answers give way to the science of Philosophy.
To avoid boring myself and boring the daylights out of you, let’s skip the names of the many philosophers, and their schools of thought and all the rest of that crap that really comes down to nothing. Anyone can rattle off names that will bend your ear and freeze your brain, but so what…anyone ever heard of Google? That’s not the point.
A teacher of mine once told me that philosophy is a methodology of allowing the world to reveal itself to you (smart dude). If indeed that is the case, once the revelations come, what do you do about it? Do you pray, chant, utter pithy aphorisms or simply eat junk food because believe it or not we’re all going to die anyway, so what really matters?
