Waging Peace by David Hartsough and Joyce Hollyday
Although I am not a Quaker, I found this book (an autobiography of David’s Life) extremely courageous and enlightening, and I have gained a new respect for Non-Violent faith-based protest. David’s life is a tribute to peaceful resistance. Mr. Hartsough has put his life on the line numerous times, once while holding his young child in his arms and once in the path of an oncoming arms train. Give this book a look, I think you will enjoy the journey.
